Sofie Andreou

Sofie Andreou
graduated from the University of Windsor Ontario in 1985
with Honors of Computer Science. She started her Information Technology
(IT) Solutions career by becoming a Customer Systems Engineer at Bell
Canada's National Accounts. Sofie designed and negotiated all aspects of
her client's IT solutions. She led Bell through periods of Change
reporting directly to the division's head. During this period she
obtained her Engineering Masters part time from the University of
Toronto. For her finale at Bell, she was the Sales Director accountable
for the largest Outsourcing Deal in Canada's history. The client was
IBM. Sofie led the team of Engineers, Project Managers, Sales and
Administration team accountable for designing, negotiation and
implementing that deal. Next, in 1998 Sofie became a senior
member of Ericsson North America's Professional Services team, she help
secure North American Partnerships. In 2000, Sofie was recruited as the
Chief Operating Officer at new public company, OceanLake, reporting
directly to the Board of Directors, Sofie helped grow that company from
8 people to over 30 & was a part of the Executive team who helped
OceanLake find their public legs & new markets. Since 2001, Sofie
has been on the Advisory Board at the University of Toronto's
Professional Development Program, and appears as a half day lecturer in
their Management Series of the Telecommunications Certificate on a
quarterly basis. Sofie also lectures at Trent University from time to
time, through the summer evenings of 2003 Sofie will be lecturing
Cyberspace to Trent University student. Since March 2002, Sofie
has established her own IT Business Development practise. To date, Sofie
has helped eight IT clients substantially increase their business's
profitability through understanding and penetrating their markets.
Sofie is currently, and has been since March 2002, a member of
the Board of Directors of a 78 million dollar Multinational Public
Company, Mobile Climate Control Incorporated. This Hands-on Public Board
position, helped transition company to sustainable profits. Sofie
currently spends 80% of her time with The Breken Group, focusing on
their Business Development needs for their Online Municipality
Solutions.
