Elisabeth Symons

Elisabeth Symons
practices primarily in the information technology and
E-commerce law area. Ms Symons drafts, reviews and negotiates
technology-related agreements to address issues such as licensing,
consulting, development, on-line services, outsourcing and value-added
reseller agreements. She focuses on the legal issues that face
technology and telecommunications companies (specifically including
Internet Service Providers), as well as information technology and
E-Commerce issues faced by business organizations and public entities.
Since October, 2000, Ms Symons has practised at Mann & Gahtan LLP, in
association with Brown, Raysman, Millstein, Felder & Steiner LLP. Prior
to joining Mann & Gahtan LLP, Ms Symons worked in the legal departments
of PSINet Limited ("PSINet"), iSTAR internet inc. ("iSTAR"), and
Alias-Wavefront, a division of Silicon Graphics Canada Limited.
Ms Symons graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1993 and is admitted
to the bar in Ontario. Prior to attending law school, she obtained a
B.Sc. from the University of Toronto (Double Major Computer Science and
English).
Elisabeth Symons is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the
Canadian Bar Association and the Toronto Computer Lawyers' Group. As
well, she is an International Associate of the American Bar Association.
